Until the year 2000, the development of FDI flowing into Slovakia had an upward trend, but its volume lagged far behind the needs of our economy
Upward trend of inflow in FDI was caused especially because of the deepening privatization, liberalization of the conditions for FDI inflow to Slovakia and the improved international image of Slovakia
Since January 2000, the corporate income tax has been reduced from 40 to 29 per cent and investors investing more than 100 millions of Sk. are rewarded with corporate tax holidays of up to 10 years from the first year of profitability
