Popis:
There were two kinds of wealthy people in 1920’s in America. The ones that considered themselves as purely rich were called aristocratic families and the others, people who gained their money recently were called newly rich people. We have four major characters in this novel. Tom and Daisy Buchanan, which are from aristocratic families and Jay Gatsby with Nick Caraway are representing newly rich people, but there is a difference between Nick and Gatsby, because Gatsby earned his money illegally. But it was for some reason. He tried to buy Daisy’s love because it was impossible for rich girl to fall in love with poor boy. And Gatsby really loved her even long time before our story is set. Fitzgerald shows us how money affects everyday situations, relationships and even love. Every situations had money background and everything was by money affected.
