Konflik v Severnom Írsku

When we want to talk about conflict in Northern Ireland, it is necessary to know about its history and when it has began.
Start of conflict can be dated from the year 1167. Henry II of England landed on the shores of Ireland with his army in 1171 and took control of whole Island in four years later. The centre of English colony was city of Palle, later called Dublin. Henry had two possible reasons for this conquest. The first one was murder of Thomas Becket, Archbishop of Canterbury, the second was Hadrian IV. He was a pope those years and he asked Henry to do this and promised him the name Lord of the Ireland if he converts people there on Catholic Church. In 13th century power of England was extended from Dublin all over the Irish territory but the colonist were never able to subdue the island.
