BLUECORP INVEST LIMITED intended to carry business in the fields of hotel business and spa industry in the High Tatras. Prior to entering the Slovak market, it performed a research of suitable hotels and spa complexes. Based on this research, it made a conclusion that KÚPELE ŠTRBSKÉ PLESO, a.s. in Štrbské Pleso would be the best suitable option for investments.
Following some successful negotiations with the share holder, in 2004 BLUECORP INVEST LIMITED bought 51% stock, by which the company entered the hotel business and spa industry in Slovakia. 5 months later, the equity fund was increased up to SKK 200 mil., and the company obtained 75.91 % stock.
