Travel - to school, to work, for a holiday

Every day hundreds of people travel from one place to another. They travel to work, to school or on business. Many people travel for pleasure and travelling becomes one of the most popular hobbies.

Many people prefer staying at the seaside, while others are interested in local traditions, history and culture, like talking to local people and sharing opinions. The way you spend your holidays depends mostly on money. If you have a lot of money you can afford an expensive holiday using all the services provided by a travel agency. However, it is a luxury for many people, so they prefer travelling on their own, staying at a campground, or in a rented bungalow and spending their days on the beach.

A new type of holiday is "home-swapping". That means you exchange your home with a family in another country - they come and stay in your house and you go and stay in theirs. It is often a good deal better than a package holiday, because you pay literally nothing for accommodation and are a part of a community with your host’s friends and neighbours.
